Week Three

Well here we are, the end of week three. This week our topic was the Father Heart of God. Lets just say we went through a couple tissue boxes as a class. This is the week of DTS where we begin the journey of discovering God’s Father heart. Many deep places of our hearts were reached and healed. It was amazing to see the many different ways God chose to reach each of us individually and collectively.

As I mentioned in my last post, we attended the Power and Love conference last week. This past Monday and Tuesday night 7-9 of us went to the nearby Safe Way store to practice what we learned. The first night, we got the opportunity to pray for almost 10 people. The second night, we had more of us going out. A few of us walked around the store and interceded as the rest of us did what we could to show God’s love to people. Towards the end of the night, two people in our group approached a lady who said she had knee pain. They prayed for her and her pain left instantly. It was amazing! None of us could contain ourselves! God is so awesome! The picture at the top is of those of us that went out the first night.

Later in the week, on Friday, we had small group time. Isaiah is the name of our leader and Andy and Franko are the other guys in the group with me. Isaiah took us to Eldorado Canyon State Park. It was beautiful! We hiked along the river that flowed through there and then found a little pool to take off our shoes and wade it. We discussed talked about God as our Father and spent more time letting Him show us even more of what that means. It was a very good time.

I’m not sure what next week will hold for us, but there is no doubt that it will rock us.
